Dashboard
What it's for
The Dashboard is the shop at a glance: what is late, what is unassigned, what is open, what is owed, and what is booked today. It is the first screen most office staff open and the one they come back to between calls.
Reach it from Dashboard at the top of the sidebar, at /dashboard.
Tabs
- Overview — today's operating picture.
- Scorecards — technician performance, with Tech, Jobs, Revenue, Avg ticket, Margin, FTFR (first-time fix rate), and Close rate.
- Utilization & ROI — how well the shop's capacity is being used.
Panels and controls
The fact strip
Five numbers, and each is a queue rather than a statistic:
- Running late — jobs that are not going to make their window.
- Unassigned today — work booked for today with nobody on it.
- Open WOs — the size of the job backlog.
- Overdue invoices — money past its due date.
- Appointments today — what the day actually holds.
Each one is worth clicking rather than reading: they lead to the list that will clear them.
At-risk equipment
Units scoring high enough on failure risk to be worth acting on. No at-risk equipment right now is a good empty state, not a broken one.
Goals
Targets can be set against the dashboard's measures so the numbers read against something rather than floating.
No technician activity this period appears on the scorecard tab when the period you are looking at has no completed work in it.
What it accepts
| Field | Format | Required | Rule |
|---|---|---|---|
| Goals | Numbers per measure | No | What the dashboard's figures are compared against |
How to configure it
- Dashboard settings decide which measures appear and what the default period is.
- Automations settings decide which suggestions surface here and whether they apply on their own or wait for approval.
- Branches scope the whole screen for a branch-limited user, so a multi-branch shop sees its own numbers rather than everyone's.
Who can see it
This screen sits behind the Dashboard area.
Owners, office managers and dispatchers can open it. Technicians cannot — the field app opens on their own day instead. The gate is checked on the server, not just hidden in the sidebar, so a direct link does not get around it.
The full role matrix is on Roles & permissions.
