Edit agreement

What it's for

Edit agreement changes the terms of a plan that already exists — its price, its cadence, its dates, its promised response time, and whether it renews on its own.

Reach it from Edit on an agreement record. The route is /agreements/<agreement>/edit.

Tabs

The form has no tabs. It is one page of the agreement's editable fields.

Panels and controls

  • Customer and Service Site — who the plan is for. An empty site covers the whole customer rather than one location.
  • Part of MSA — the master agreement this one nests under.
  • Plan Name — what the customer sees, "e.g. Basic Maintenance, Comfort Club, Premier Care".
  • Status — where the agreement stands.
  • Service Cadence — how often visits are due. Changing it re-projects the next service date on every covered unit, so this is not a cosmetic field.
  • Starts On and Expires On — the term.
  • Price per Year — the contract value, "e.g. 299.00". A change is recorded in the agreement's History with the prior and new price, so a price rise is always explainable.
  • Guaranteed response (hours) — the response time promised, "e.g. 4". SLA reporting measures against this number.
  • Auto-renew — whether the plan rolls at the end of the term.
  • Notes — free text.
  • Save Changes commits; Cancel discards.

Covered equipment is not edited here — add and remove units on the agreement record's Covered equipment tab.

How to configure it

  • Agreements settings supply the cadences and the auto-renew default.
  • Invoicing settings decide how a changed price is billed for the rest of the term.
  • Price book rate cards decide what covered work is charged at.

Who can see it

This screen sits behind the Agreements area.

Owners, office managers and dispatchers can open it. Technicians cannot. The gate is checked on the server, not just hidden in the sidebar, so a direct link does not get around it.

The full role matrix is on Roles & permissions.
