Inspection trends

What it's for

Inspection trends shows what your inspections keep finding. One failed checklist item is a job; the same item failing across a hundred inspections is a pattern worth acting on — a training gap, a bad part, or a customer base with a shared problem.

Panels and controls

Outcomes

Pass, Flag, Fail, N/A, Total, and Fail rate, with a Month breakdown and a Distribution. N/A is shown rather than hidden, because an item marked not-applicable across the board usually means the template is asking the wrong question for that equipment.

Repeat failures

Equipment, Item, Failures, and Last failed. This is the actionable table: the same item failing on the same unit repeatedly is either a unit that needs replacing or a repair that is not holding.

Compliance

Compliance tier, Responses, and Avg correction window — how quickly findings are actually being corrected. A high fail rate with a short correction window is a shop working well; a low fail rate with a long one is worth a harder look.

Export CSV takes it out; Clear resets the filters.

Empty states

No completed inspections in this window and No repeat failures.

What it accepts

The report is a read-out over completed inspections.

How to configure it

• Inspection templates decide what is asked, which decides what can trend. Changing a template does not rewrite old inspections — they keep the checklist they were run against, so a trend spanning a template change is comparing two questions.
• Compliance settings decide the tiers and the expected correction window.
• Branches scope the report.

Who can see it

This screen sits behind the Reports area.

Owners, office managers and dispatchers can open it. Technicians cannot. The gate is checked on the server, not just hidden in the sidebar, so a direct link does not get around it.
