What it's for
Job volume & margin by type breaks work-order volume, revenue, and known-cost margin down by job type — maintenance, repair, install, and inspection. It answers "where does the money actually come from, and which kind of job pays for itself" at a glance.
Reach it from Reports → Job volume & margin by type, at /reports/job-type-breakdown.

| Field | Format | Required | Rule |
|---|---|---|---|
| From / To | date | No | Defaults to the trailing 90 days |
| Branch | chip | No | Appears only when the org compares branches |
How to configure it
No setup. The report reads data the work-order creation form already captures: job type is a required select (maintenance, repair, install, inspection), and revenue/cost come from the invoicing and job-costing flows.
