What it's for
Time to invoice answers how long it takes to get paid. It measures three elapsed times for the invoices you sent in the selected period: work completion to the invoice going out, the invoice going out to the payment landing, and the two added together.
Reach it from Reports → Time to invoice, at /reports/time-to-invoice.
It is not the same number as the A/R aging panel. Aging buckets the money you are still owed right now; this report measures elapsed time on invoices that have already been billed, and shows the still-unpaid ones separately so they cannot quietly make the cycle look shorter than it is.

Panels and controls
The four summary tiles are the headline: Median completion → invoice, Median invoice → paid, Median end to end, and Awaiting payment. Each median tile also carries its 90th-percentile value, because a median hides the slow tail that a customer actually complains about.
Below the tiles, one distribution table per stage lists the buckets — for example 0–7 days, 8–14 days, and so on — with the invoice count and share in each. Every bucket label is a link that narrows the Underlying invoices table to exactly the invoices in that bucket; Show all clears it.
The Awaiting payment table lists the invoices that are sent or partly paid and still owe money, with the days elapsed so far.
What it accepts
| Field | Format | Required | Rule |
|---|---|---|---|
| From / To | Dates | No | Defaults to the trailing 90 days |
| Branch | Branch picker | No | Only shown when more than one branch is live |
Export CSV downloads the same rows you are looking at, including an active bucket drill-down.
How to configure it
Nothing in Settings changes how this report is built. It reads timestamps that are already captured: the work order's completion time, the invoice's sent time, and the payment's received time. A work order with no completion timestamp, or an invoice with no linked work order, cannot contribute to the stages that need that timestamp, and the report says how many invoices fell outside each measurement rather than treating them as zero.
Who can see it
This screen sits behind the Reports area.
Owners, office managers and dispatchers can open it. Technicians cannot. The gate is checked on the server, not just hidden in the sidebar, so a direct link does not get around it.
