What it's for
Work-order Aging shows how long open jobs have been sitting, in buckets. A job that has been open for ninety days is either finished and not closed, or genuinely stuck — and both cost you, one in reporting accuracy and one in cash.

Panels and controls
- Aging buckets group open jobs by how long they have been open, so the shape of the backlog is visible before any individual job is.
- Each bucket resolves to the jobs inside it, so the report ends at something you can act on rather than at a chart.
- Export CSV takes it out; Apply and Reset work the filters.
- No open work orders in this scope is the empty state — "in this scope" because a branch or date filter changes what empty means.
The two things worth reading this report for are the tail and the trend. A long tail of very old jobs is usually administrative — work done, never closed, never invoiced — and clearing it is the fastest revenue recovery most shops have. A thickening middle is an operational problem and needs staffing.
Read it beside Dispatch backlog: that one is about what has not been scheduled, this one is about what has not been finished.

The report is a read-out. Jobs are closed on their own records.
How to configure it
- Scheduling settings decide the default job length, which affects nothing here directly but shapes the backlog this report measures.
- Invoicing settings decide whether closing a job drafts an invoice, which is what turns clearing the tail into cash.
- Branches scope the report.
Who can see it
This screen sits behind the Reports area.
Owners, office managers and dispatchers can open it. Technicians cannot. The gate is checked on the server, not just hidden in the sidebar, so a direct link does not get around it.
