Quote (portal)
What it's for
A quote in the customer portal is one proposal as the customer sees it — what is being offered, itemised, with a way to say yes. It is the same document your share link produces, inside their signed-in account.
Your customers reach it by opening a quote from the portal. The route is
/portal/quotes/<quote>.
Tabs
The page has no tabs. It is the quote.
Panels and controls
- The line items — Description, Qty, Unit price, and Total. Itemising is what makes a large number acceptable: a customer who can see what they are paying for argues about the scope, not the total.
- The totals — subtotal, tax, and total.
- Terms as recorded on the proposal — the install window and the warranty offered.
- Financing, where your shop offers it, showing the monthly figure and the lender.
- Approve accepts the quote and records that acceptance in your office.
- Where the proposal carries several options, each is shown and approving selects the one the customer chose.
Nothing on this page reveals your cost or margin. It shows what was quoted.
What it accepts
| Field | Format | Required | Rule |
|---|---|---|---|
| Approve | A single action | Yes, to accept | Records acceptance against the proposal in the office app |
| Option selection | Pick one, where several are offered | Yes, where the quote has options | Approving selects that option |
How to configure it
- Proposals settings decide the terms, the validity period, and how options are presented.
- Customer portal settings decide whether approving from the portal is allowed.
- Deposits settings decide whether a deposit is requested on acceptance.
- Branding settings decide how the quote looks.
Who can see it
This screen is part of the customer portal. Your customers reach it with a portal login, and each one sees only their own quotes.
Your staff see the internal version on the proposal record, which carries the cost, margin, and conversion controls this page does not.
