Inspection report
What it's for
The inspection report is the public page a customer opens after a technician finishes an inspection. It shows what passed, what didn't, and what needs attention — no account needed.
Your customer opens it from the link you send. The route is
/p/inspection/<token>.
Tabs
The page has no tabs. It is the report itself.
Panels and controls
- The header shows your shop's name, a status badge (In progress, Completed, or Failed), the checklist template used, the unit inspected, and the completion date.
- Prepared for names the customer, the site, and the technician who did the work.
- A stat row totals items Passed, Flagged, and Failed.
- Checklist sections list every item with a pass/flag/fail dot, plus its recorded value — a checked/unchecked box, a reading with its unit, or a short text answer.
- Recommendations lists open deficiencies with a severity badge, a description, and a suggested price where one was entered, and notes how many other items were found and already resolved without listing them.
- Readings shows a grid of the latest values recorded (temperatures, pressures, and similar).
- Photos shows a grid of photos taken during the visit; each opens full size.
- Summary is a closing note in the technician's own words, when one was written.
- Print opens your browser's print dialogue.
Unlike the asset and capital-plan cards, an open deficiency here does show a suggested price — this report is meant to double as the basis for approving the recommended work.
What it accepts
Nothing. The report is read-only — it shows what was recorded during the visit and takes no input from the customer.
How to configure it
- Branding settings decide the logo shown in the header.
- Which sections and checklist items appear come from the inspection template used for that visit, not from anything on this page.
- Photos, readings, deficiencies, and the summary come from what the technician recorded during the inspection itself.
Who can see it
This page opens from a secure link — no login, no account. Anyone holding the link can open it, and the link is the only way in.
