Capital plan
What it's for
A capital plan shared as a link is the customer-facing version of the multi-year replacement and maintenance forecast your office builds in Capital Planning. It's how a facilities manager or controller sees what's coming due, year by year, without an account.
Your customer opens it from the link you send. The route is
/p/capital/<token>.
Tabs
The page has no tabs. It is the plan itself.
Panels and controls
- The header shows your shop's name, "Prepared for" the customer and site, and the plan's horizon in years.
- Line items grouped by year — each item names the equipment or work kind (Replacement, Major Repair, Planned Maintenance, Contingency, Assessment Pending), its rationale where one was given, and its dollar amount, with a subtotal for the year.
- Totals — a Contingency line, shown as a percent of the replacement total or a flat amount per year depending on how the plan was built, and a Grand total for the whole horizon.
- Print opens your browser's print dialogue.
If the plan has no forecast lines yet, the page says so rather than showing an empty table.
What it accepts
Nothing. The plan is read-only — it shows what your office generated and takes no input from the customer.
How to configure it
- Branding settings decide the logo shown in the header.
- Whether contingency shows as a percentage or a flat dollar amount, and what that rate is, is set when the plan is built — see Capital Planning settings.
- Which line items and years appear come from the plan record itself, generated in your office's Capital Planning tool, not from anything on this page.
Who can see it
This page opens from a secure link — no login, no account. Anyone holding the link can open it, and the link is the only way in — treat it the way you'd treat a proposal you send a customer.
Your staff see the internal version on the capital plan record, which also shows the working detail this page leaves out.
