What it's for
Rate cards hold rental rates by asset class — "The resolver picks the applicable rate at quote and billing." Set them once and every rental quote and every rental invoice prices itself, consistently, without anyone remembering what a 30-ton chiller goes for.

Tabs
The screen has no tabs. It is rate cards, their per-class rates, and the rules that adjust them.
Panels and controls
Rate cards
Create rate card makes one, with a Name ("e.g. Standard retail 2026"), an Audience, and optionally Set as default for its audience. A contractor rate card can be tied to a specific Contractor customer ID.
Rates by asset class
Each card holds a 28-day rate ("3,400.00"), a Daily rate ("e.g. 1,000.00"), and a Weekly rate ("e.g. 3,300.00") per Asset class ("e.g. Chiller — 30-ton"). Rather than typing all three, the Daily rate ratio and Weekly rate ratio derive the shorter terms from the 28-day rate as a percentage — "e.g. 10" and "e.g. 33" — which keeps the relationship between them sane as prices change.
Rules
Rules adjust the resolved rate for a case: a Tier, a Customer, a Project key ("e.g. PRJ-1042"), a Branch, a season (Season start month to Season end month), weekend and holiday only, or emergency only. Each rule carries a Percent adjustment ("e.g. -15") or an Amount adjustment ("e.g. -50.00 or 25.00"), can Apply rule after a number of billing cycles, and can set a Minimum billed rental in days.
Resolver precedence
The Resolver precedence panel shows the order rules are applied in. This is the part worth reading before adding a rule: two rules that both match are resolved by that order, not by which was created first.
Metering
Per period, Included hours ("e.g. 160") and an Overage rate ("45.00") must be set together — a period cannot have one without the other, and the screen refuses to save if you try.

How to configure it
- This screen belongs to the Rentals module — see Settings → Capabilities.
- Rentals settings decide the defaults a new contract starts from.
- Branches decide what the branch rule offers.
- Asset classes come from the fleet, so registering fleet units with the right class is what makes these rates apply.
Who can see it
This screen sits behind the Rentals area, and additionally behind the Rentals module.
Owners and office managers can open it where the module is on. Dispatchers and technicians cannot — rental pricing is not a field decision. The gate is checked on the server, not just hidden in the sidebar, so a direct link does not get around it.
