Commissions (field app)

What it's for
Commissions in the field app shows a technician what they have earned. A commission plan that a technician cannot see is a plan that does not motivate anyone, so this screen exists to make the number visible without a conversation.
Reach it from the field app navigation, at /tech/commissions.
Tabs
The screen has no tabs. It is the technician's own commission history.
Panels and controls
- Earnings show what has accrued and what has been paid, by job.
- Each entry ties back to the work order that earned it, so a technician can see which job produced which amount rather than being handed a total.
- No commissions yet means nothing has accrued — which on a new plan means the first qualifying job has not landed yet.
- Login not linked means the sign-in has not been connected to a staff record; the office fixes it by adding the person as staff.
A technician sees only their own commissions. The plans themselves, the ledger across the whole team, and the ability to void an entry are office functions on Commissions.
What it accepts
The screen takes no input. It is a read-out of the technician's own ledger.
How to configure it
- Commission plans and the schedule assigned to this technician decide what accrues and at what rate — set under People → Commissions.
- Job costing settings decide how commission cost lands against a job.
- A voided commission carries the reason it was voided, so a technician asking why an amount changed gets an answer rather than a shrug.
Who can see it
This screen is part of the field app. Technicians see it on their own phone or tablet, showing their own earnings only.
Office roles see the whole team's plans and ledger on Commissions.
