Job hazard analysis

What it's for

The job hazard analysis is the safety check a technician completes before work starts — what could go wrong here, and what is being done about it. On jobs where your shop requires one, it is the gate: the job does not start until it is done.

Panels and controls

The hazards relevant to this job type and site are presented for the technician to work through, confirming each is assessed and controlled.
Anything that cannot be controlled is escalated rather than accepted, which puts the decision with someone who can make it.
The completed analysis is stamped with the time it was done, which is why the safety scorecard can report on Timely separately from JHA done: an analysis completed after the work started is a form, not a control.
No JHA required for this job appears where your shop's rules do not call for one. That is a configuration answer, not an oversight — the job type and the site decide it.

How to configure it

Compliance settings decide which job types and sites require a hazard analysis, and what hazards are presented.
Credentials and certification requirements interact: work a technician is not certified for is flagged separately, and appears as Ineligible work on the safety scorecard.
Automations settings decide whether an escalation notifies the office immediately.

Who can see it

This screen is part of the field app. Technicians see it on their own phone or tablet, scoped to the jobs assigned to them.

Office roles see the completed analysis on the work order record and its rollup on the safety scorecard.
