Wrap up
What it's for
Wrap up is the end of a visit: confirm what was done, get the customer's sign-off, and hand over whatever they need to see or pay. It is the stage that decides whether a job is finished or merely left.
Reach it as the last stage of a job in the field app. The route is
/tech/<job>/wrap.
Tabs
The stage has no tabs. It is one closing screen.
Panels and controls
- The summary of what went on the job — work done, parts and labour recorded, findings raised.
- Signature captures the customer's sign-off on the visit. What they are signing is decided by your signature settings, so the wording is yours rather than ours.
- Payment link sends the customer their invoice while the technician is still on site. A card tapped in the driveway is worth more than an invoice posted on Friday, and this is the single largest cash-flow lever the field app has.
- Report link shares the inspection result with the customer as a page they can open without an account.
- Follow-up raises the next visit where the job is not finished — parts, access, or additional labour — with the reason recorded so the office knows what to book.
Once wrapped, the job appears in the office as ready to invoice. The prebill filter is where it lands.
What it accepts
| Field | Format | Required | Rule |
|---|---|---|---|
| Signature | Drawn on screen | Yes, to sign off | The customer signs on the device |
| Follow-up reason | Free text | Yes, to raise a follow-up | Parts, access, or additional labour |
| Notes | Free text | No | "Anything the office should know" |
How to configure it
- Signatures settings decide what the customer signs and what appears on the document.
- Invoicing settings and payment integration decide whether a payment link can be sent from the field, and what the invoice says.
- Notifications settings decide what the customer receives afterwards.
- Customer portal settings decide whether a shared report link is available.
Who can see it
This screen is part of the field app. Technicians see it on their own phone or tablet, scoped to the jobs assigned to them.
Office roles pick the job up from there on the work order record and the invoices list.
